The Orange County Fire Authority has taken delivery of a pair of new S-70 Firehawks which will aid in the upcoming wildfire season. The Sikorsky S-70 Firehawks were delivered by United Rotorcraft based in Colorado, who had outfitted the aircraft helicopters, to the OCFA Air Ops at Fullerton Airport. The S-70 Firehawk is are capable of dropping more water than their current Bell 412s, the new aircraft provide the department with four operational aircraft for the first time since 2020.
