The Moroccan Defense forces have taken delivery of the first batch of AH-64E Apaches from Boeing. This is part of an order for 24 aircraft placed in 2020 and later increased to 36, with an overall estimated value of $4.25 billion.

The Moroccan Air Force (FARM, Force Aérienne Royale Marocaine) operate two squadrons of Apaches from Khouribga Air Base located 130 km south west of Casablanca, which has undergone major upgrade to accommodate the AH-64E Apache Guardians.

The procurement of the Apaches is part of Morocco’s broader equipment procurement program and the final Apaches are scheduled for delivery by 2026.

The contract includes AGM-114L/R Hellfire air-to-ground missiles, Advanced Precision Kill Weapon System (APKWS) laser-guided missiles and AIM-92H Stinger air-to-air missiles.
