The Nigerian Air Force has taken delivery of its second batch of two T129 ATAKs from Turkish Aerospace Industries. The NAF ordered six T129s in 2021 as part of a modernization plan. This latest delivery follows the arrival of the first batch of two T129s in 2023. The operational use of the T129 is mainly aimed at enhancing Nigeria’s counterinsurgency operations and will join the NAF existing fleet of Russian Mil Mi-24/35 Hind and AW109s.
