The Nigerian Navy has taken delivery of three AW109 Trekkers with a VIP configuration including a full leather and noise attenuation system, that will join their existing fleet of AW109s.
One of the three aircraft delivered is a new build and the remaining two are former Cambodian registered aircraft before being sold to Caverton Helicopters.
The handover ceremony was held at the Caverton Helicopters Limited hangar in Ikeja, Lagos in the presence of Chief of the Naval Staff, Vice Admiral Emmanuel Ogalla, Dr Ibrahim Abubakar Kana, the Permanent Secretary of the MoD and the Director of Navy Affairs, Dr Raji Isiaka Ogunshola.
Caverton Helicopters have also started training naval pilots on a Flight Simulator located at the Caverton Aviation Training Centre.
