The Rescue and Salvage Bureau of the Chinese Ministry of Transport has taken delivery of two SAR configured H175s.
SKYCO Leasing, a state-owned enterprise in China's Guangdong Province, signed a contract for six H175s in 2024 and will go on to perform SAR missions in one of the world's busiest areas for marine traffic and also emergency medical services, and disaster relief to offshore areas such as the Bohai Sea and the Yellow Sea.
The two aircraft were delivered by Airbus Beluga Transport Qingdao, China and this was the first time a Beluga aircraft had flown the long haul flight from Toulouse, France to the Chinese city of Qingdao Jiaodong International Airport. The flight also marked the first time the H175 had been transported onboard a Beluga.
