The DRF air rescue station in Karlsruhe has replaced its EC135 with a five-blade H145 that offers more power, a glass cockpit and more rear cabin space. This offers the crew greater safety and operational options. The change also represents a milestone in the development of the DRF Air Rescue fleet, as the last EC135 is being retired from service.
The new aircraft offers the crew more options thanks to the higher payload and the third seat in the cabin. For example, a pediatric team can accompany the transport of a child or heavy supply equipment can be loaded for particularly complex missions.
