DRF Luftrettung has won the tendering process for air rescue in area of Saxony-Anhalt. The non-profit organization will provide HEMS service for another three years, with an option to extend for another year. It includes three helicopters that are stationed at two locations in the country: Christoph 36 in Magdeburg and Christoph Halle and Christoph Sachsen-Anhalt in Halle. Christoph Saxony-Anhalt is the country's intensive care transport helicopter, which is operational around the clock.
“We are very pleased about the award of the contract and the trust expressed by the state of Saxony-Anhalt,” emphasizes Dr. Krystian Pracz, CEO of DRF Luftrettung. “We have impressed with the quality of our work and the expertise we have built up over many decades and we look forward to continuing to contribute hand in hand with our partners to comprehensive emergency medical care for people here in the country.” Right at the start of the new contract period at the beginning of 2024, a state-of-the-art H145 machine with a five-blade rotor went into service in Halle yesterday. It replaced the H135, which had previously been used as Christoph Halle. As Christoph Saxony-Anhalt, an H145 with a five-blade rotor has been in use since 2021.
