Helicopter Institute is proud to announce a strategic partnership with Dr. Dudley Crosson and Delta P to enhance our Safety Management System (SMS) and expand safety training opportunities for the helicopter industry. As part of this collaboration, Dr. Crosson will serve as Director of Safety and Aeromedical Programs, bringing his extensive expertise in aviation safety, human factors, and aeromedical considerations to further elevate our safety initiatives.

In addition to refining our internal safety protocols, this partnership will introduce new educational opportunities for both aspiring and experienced Safety Officers. Helicopter Institute will begin offering specialized courses led by Dr. Crosson, designed to enhance the knowledge and practical skills necessary for implementing effective safety programs within helicopter flight operations.

“Safety is the foundation of everything we do, and our mission remains clear—Improving Helicopter Safety, One Pilot at a Time,” said Randy Rowles, President at Helicopter Institute. “With Dr. Crosson’s leadership in safety and aeromedical programs, we are providing operators with the expertise and tools they need to build a strong safety culture and proactively mitigate risks in their operations.”

Helicopter Institute will have a major presence at Verticon 2025, where our team will be available to discuss how we can support your safety program. We encourage operators, safety officers, and industry professionals to connect with us and explore how our enhanced safety initiatives can benefit their flight departments.
