Mechanical Specialties, LLC has announced it has received an FAA STC for the Bell Model 407 ADEC Dual Cargo Hook today.

The patent-pending design for helicopter cargo hooks has been in the certification process for over three years. The ADEC (Advanced Dual External Cargo) Hook is two independently operating cargo hooks in one unit. The ADEC Hook is specifically designed and approved for HEC and high value lifting operations.

Redundancy is built in to one compact, independently operating, dual load-beam unit. The ADEC is two hooks in one. The innovative design, universal adaptability, simple installation, and low cost make it an outstanding solution to high value cargo operations.

Multiple other ADEC hooks are currently in STC certification with a plan to cover all models of helicopters with this new technology.

The ADEC hook is such an extraordinary design innovation that it stands to completely revolutionize the entire cargo hook industry. Adapting the ADEC dual load beam system to different carrying capacities and operational uses makes its deployment possibilities almost endless. It seems inevitable the ADEC Dual hook could replace every existing cargo hook on the market today.”
