The Luxembourg Air Rescue has added a second H145-D3s to their fleet. The first aircraft has been in operation since June 2023 and has completed over 200 missions, the second aircraft arrived at Luxembourg-Findel from the DRF Luftrettung workshop at Baden Airpark.
Both aircraft were purchased from DRF Luftrettung and fully upgrade with 5-blade rotors and the medical equipment was adapted to LAR's needs.
The President of the LAR, René Closter, announced that a large part of the financing of the two helicopters was made through donations from the population of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg and the Greater Region. He also confirmed that in the near future the MD 902 helicopters will be withdrawn from the Luxembourg skies due to their age and replaced by the H145-D3.
